The pizza was hot, and the acts were all cool as hell!
Yep, the Fly-By Nite The Jupiter Fly-By Album Release TRIBUTE Party on June 10th, 2006 was quite the unique experience! To celebrate the release of our new debut album "Soccer Every Sunday", musical acts from all over gathered to play LIVE versions of tracks from the new album.

And we've got the photos to prove it! Cick here to check out the PARTY PHOTO GALLERY!

We were absolutely blown away by the unexpected and unique interpretations of our tunes that were performed:

  • Mark Oppenlander of One Alternative opened up with his bluesy rendition of "Third Rail Funnies" (performed on a blue Tele, of course!)...

  • Special Needz Kidz took "Dance All Over The Plants" to the bleeding edge of technology with their OmniChord, bass and sample arrangement...

  • David E Williams performed an amazing version of "Kings of Drone" by overlaying the lyrics above a piano arrangement of The Police's "King of Pain"...

  • Margaret Orthodox with Wayne Junction performed a killer acoustic/vocal rendition of "Little Car, LIttle Truck" with a growl on the chorus that would've made The Man in Black proud...

  • The ever-dapper Mr. Deadguy performed a truly killer version of "Digging Up Felix" in a Duane Eddy-meets-Edgar Allan Poe fashion that had Chet Atkins spinning for joy in his grave...

  • The Sid Hook Trio's version of "File Under Style" featured a one-of-a-kind arrangement of vocals, guitar, electronics - and a typewriter played by foot...

  • Har and Chipper (star of our infamous "Bagahangaz" video) played a horrific lounge style mash-up of "Bagahangaz" in a head-on collision with Atlanta Rhythm Section's "So Into You"...

  • Alex, Harriet and Har finally ended the evening with an emotionally-charged piano-ballad version of "Soccer Every Sunday". "Magical air-freshener of pine" indeed, with not a dry eye in the house...

Alex got it on video, so we'll hopefully have some choice moments available for you to see here soon!

Alex and Har wish to thank everyone who came out
for taking part in this special evening!
